Each room has cable TV/VCR, a private phone line and data port for computer use, an alarm clock, a CD player, a comfortable work area, central air and hot water heat. All rooms have been recently refurbished with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. A full Southern breakfast each morning, along with our special gourmet coffee, is included. Snacks and bottled water are available 24 hours a day.

Beautiful views of the National D-day Memorial, The Peaks of Otter, Blue Ridge Mountains, and downtown Bedford are seen from various rooms. The living room is a good place for conversations, watching a fire in the fireplace, reading or napping. We have puzzles, board games, cds, books, and movies available 24 hours a day. Guests are invited and encouraged use and enjoy these.

Each season we have a variety of wild life around the grounds. Many nights you will seen something most magical, a majestic buck, his does, and fawns (white tail deer). Bird watching, picking 4-leaf clovers, cloud watching (we provide the quilt, Mother Nature everything else), hiking, canoeing, volleyball,and just doing nothing in our large Pawley's Island hammock are some of the "things to do". Using your imagination is encouraged.

Our location is optimal for everyone who travels to Bedford. Located at the corner of Mountain Avenue and Raflo Place, our Inn sits across from a large park. There guests can enjoy a leisurely walk, lighted tennis and basketball courts, or even a local softball game. Golf privileges, and swimming are through the Bedford Country Club. (Please call ahead to make arrangements.) Guests can walk to restaurants, shops, and nearby Main Street, Bedford. In addition, we are conveniently located near many of the attractions for which the area is known. The National D-day Memorial, the Peaks of Otter Wilderness Area and Lake Abbot, Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, and Smith Mountain Lake are only a short drive away. The Elks National Home is less than one half mile from the Inn.
